The Europa League is back, and it’s going to be tough for European football to match the glamour of the Champions League.
But there are plenty of good games to watch on Thursday, including a Champions League semi-final against a mighty Barcelona side.
The Europa League semi final between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona (4:00 pm ET, Fox Soccer, FS1, UniMas) will be watched live on Fox Soccer.
It’s the last game of the European Champions League season, and will serve as a good reminder of how good Euro 2016 has been thus far.
There are five teams left in the Europa League group stage, including Real Madrid and PSG, and each have a tough challenge in front of them.
Barcelona will face their first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday night, while Atletico will face Juventus on Sunday night.
With Atletico playing a team that is expected to be in the top three in the league, the question will be how much the European elite will want to see this group.
The answer will be very clear.
Barcelona and Atletico are two of the best teams in Europe, with Barcelona winning the Champions Cup in 2015 and Atleti winning the European Super Cup in 2017.
However, there are some big differences in how these teams will fare in the final.
Barcelona have proven they are capable of beating the best of the rest in a semi-finals and a final, while Iniesta is arguably the best player in the world.
But this group will be a different story.
Barça won the European Cup in 2012, and have a history of winning it in a quarter-final and a shootout.
In recent years, Barcelona have lost in the quarter-finals to Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
They also lost to Bayern Munich in the semi-Final.
The last time Barcelona lost a semi in a final was in 2008.
Barcelonians will also have to overcome a Real Madrid side that will be playing in the Champions Trophy final.
Last year, Atletico won the Europa league by beating Barcelona 3-0 in the Copa del Rey final.
Real Madrid will have to be at their best to win the group stage.
In addition, Atleticos defender will have his hands full against PSG’s Messi, who is in his prime.
The French forward scored more than 30 goals last year, and was a major part of Atletico’s success.
PSG also has Lionel Messi, Neymar and Gareth Bale, who all have big goals to score.
But Barcelona’s defence has struggled against the likes of Messi, Gareth Bale and Neymar.
PSV Eindhoven have been the best defending team in the last few years, and Barca will be hard to beat.PSG have also shown a lot of promise in the past.
They won the Champions league in 2014, and are expected to challenge Real Madrid in the first leg of the Europa finals.
They have a strong squad, but have also struggled in recent years.
Barca’s defense has been strong this season, but they have also been beaten by Barcelona’s forwards and players like Messi, Lionel Messi and Neymer in recent games.
The PSG defence has also been able to play a more creative game this season with some big-name players, but this group is a tough one to crack.
Barclays Madrid will also be in a tough group with Atletico.
The Spanish giants have been in the best form of their careers in recent seasons, but haven’t been able get past Barcelona in a major final.
Barça will also need to be on top form in this semi-leg, as they have beaten PSG 3-1 in the second leg of last year’s final.
The final will be played on the weekend, and the last two matches will be streamed live on ESPN.PSV EINDHOVEN will face a PSG side that has struggled with injuries recently.
The Brazilian side has conceded three goals in four games, including two in the semifinal against Atletico on Saturday.
The Portuguese side have won the last five Champions League Group B meetings, with Atletismo winning each of the previous five.
PSW will also likely face a tricky group.
In the last three meetings between the sides, Atleo has won three and lost one, with PSW winning the last four.
PSB will be looking to win their first ever Europa League crown in the process.
The two sides have met three times, and last year both teams were eliminated from the tournament.PSB will likely have to play without injured star striker David Villa, who has been suspended indefinitely for violating club rules.
They will also look to be the better team in this group, as Atletico have conceded two goals in their last three matches.
This will be an extremely tough group for the Brazilian side.
